Whats happening within your hunt....

STRANGLES:

Unfortunately we have recently had an outbreak of eqine strangles within our hunt country. This has had a devastating effect to the hunt with quite a few of our regular riders suffering the effects. Even so, by making some quick changes to our fixture list we have still been able to provide sport for those who are stll able to join us.

On behalf of the Joint Masters I would like to thank all those riders who have stayed away during this period and also thank the yard owners who very responsibly quarantined their stables. I understand most cases are now under control and incubation periods are coming to an end. We look forward to seeing you all back on the hunting field as soon as safely possible, hopefully back for the second half of the season.

Please speak to your vet before returning your horse to hunting, or alternatively have a chat with our Joint Master Lode De Smet who is also a vet.
